Final Parent Campaign Week

A proper fist pump is in order for the close of the Parent "Write-A-Check" Campaign. After three weeks of parent commitments, we have collected $1127.00! Hooray to YOU! Thank you for your donations. I also know a few parents who will continue to donate next month and I will post the new amounts as the last few checks come in.
I believe we made just over $500 from the book fair and goodies bags as well. I need to confirm this with Claudia Martinez first. After I confirm this, it looks like our total amount earned is about $1600.00. YEAH!
At our next meeting in January (TBA), we can chat about how to raise the rest of the money needed for the kiddos' amazing 5th grade year. Again, THANK YOU for everything! Happy Holidays!

Week Two: Parent Campaign

Week Two of the Parent Campaign has been quite a success. We have almost doubled the amount we collected last week. However, we are still in need of donations.
We have collected just over $900 through our Parent Campaign. This is truly amazing! We are hoping  this last week to double the amount as well. Please chat with other 5th grade parents to encourage them to make a contribution to the 5th grade Parent Campaign. Any amount is welcome.
A BIG THANK YOU to the families who have asked their companies to make a matching donation to the PTA as well.

Grab Bags

Thank you to the parents that sent items for the Grab Bags for the Book Fair this week. Also, thank you to the parents (and 5th graders) who assembled the Grab Bags. We were able to make about 160 plus about 35 additional ones that were donated. This team is unstoppable! Go 5th Grade!

Week One: 5th Grade Parent Campaign

A BIG THANK YOU for a good start for the Parent Campaign. We received about 10 donations so far. Let's hope for more next week which I am sure will be the case. Thank you for your generosity for your 5th graders. This will directly benefit them through the 5th grade party, 5th grade yearbook, and a gift to the school to stamp their legacy in these halls.

5th Grade Parent Campaign

Our letter for "Write a Check"  has been approved and we are sending it out on Monday or Tuesday. All money collected needs to be itemized and sent directly to the PTA Treasurer.  I have the list of 5th graders and will make a sheet to itemize the money collected from this. I will give this sheet to Elsa Meeks for our fundraiser team to use.

Pool and Bus Update

Kathy Bundrick did excellent research for pricing for the 5th Grade Party.

POOL:  The pricing for the pool and the cost for a private pool party  would be $450.00. This price may not include lifeguards. There is plenty of room at the pool to have inflatables and there is a sand volleyball court and a basketball court.

BUS: The buses will not schedule field trips on an early dismissal days till after 2:00 and on a regular dismissal day the won't drive field trips till after 4:00.  The cost of the buses are $13.00 an hour for the driver and $1.00 per mile for the bus. If the pool party is considered we will have to have a parent transportation system.

We have a DJ!

Mr.Bundrick has volunteered to DJ for our 5th grade party. He has loads of experience and all of the professional equipment to put on a choice show. A BIG THANK for this.

Welcome!

Thank you to everyone that came out today to chat and discuss how we can make our 5th graders have an amazing year. I am just taken back by all of the parents that came tonight. I am truly touched to see how we were able to get amazing ideas for the party and gift to the school. Coming together and forming committees is the key to moving forward and getting things done.
If you have ideas that you have, please comment below.
Again, thank you for everything!
